Fishing Report April 7th 2014
Mostly overcast today with a significant chance of rain. Expect a high around 67 degrees with a mostly south wind 20 -30 MPH. Sunset will be at 7:28 PM and sunrise tomorrow is at 6:41 AM.
First tide is high at 1:35 AM with the low at 8:20 AM
Second tide is high at 2:12 PM with the low at 8:22 pm
I’ve accepted that it will never be summer again. The water will warm up by September just in time for the first hurricane to make landfall at Hatteras and then shoot up the sounds and turn Va Beach into the northern end of the OBX……. or not!!!
Duck Pier has posted the water temp at 50 degrees. Satellite imagery shows the water temps on the south side of Hatteras Island in the low to mid 60s – there were good reports of nice sea mullets with some blow toads over the weekend down there. Who knows, it might even happen up here one day.
