Fishing Report: 9/17/13

Fishing was good on the sandbar yesterday, but today is a different day. Expect partly cloudy skies, high about 73 degrees and winds out of the NE 15 – 25 mph. Sunset is 7:09 pm.
First tide is high at 5:57 am, no low in this cycle
Second tide is low at 12:19 pm, high is 6:23 pm

Standing on the beach today, the NE winds are pretty much in your face trying blow back whatever you throw. If you must fish the surf, look for the deeper sloughs and fish the first 15 yds for puppy drum and sea mullet or whatever. Plan B has us wading in protected areas like Oregon inlet, off island slough, new inlet or south beach on Hatteras.

Plan C means today is a shopping day so come on in to the Stop n Shop and check us out. If the store is open, so is our deli – we serve breakfast sandwiches all day. If you bring your own coffee cup, we’ll fill it up for .29 plus tax – fresh coffee for .31 cents, such a deal!!! All clothing is 20% off this week. Come on in!!

When the wind lays down, you can take a kid fishing! Coolbreeze out
