Fishing Report Oct 1st 2013
The first day of Oct looks to be relatively pleasant. The winds have dropped to less than 10 out of the N with sunny skies and a 0% chance if rain. Sunset is at 6:48 pm and sunrise tomorrow is 6:57 am.
First tide is high at 5:13 am and a low at 11:22 am
Second tide is high at 5:25 pm and low at 11:50 pm
The really good news today is even though the government shutdown has closed down Cape Hatteras National Seashore to ORV’s. Kill Devil Hills beaches are open and FREE to the public and vehicles. We strongly suggest airing down your tires before driving on the beach to protect the access ramps from getting chewed by over inflated tires.
The piers report the water temp is hovering around 70 degrees and the surf is muddy. Catches include puppy drum, spot croaker and sea mullet.
