Good catches of blue fish have been reported up and down the beaches. Hatteras will be closed for awhile due to the storm. This is forcing the beaches north to be crowded so pier fishing has been popular but surf fishing has been good if you can find a good spot

Fishing Report

Strong North Eastern winds tonight with the storm hitting the northern beaches and the storm will produce lots of rain. However, New estimates put the storm’s peak at 105 mph sustained winds, a Category 2 on the Saffir-Simpson scale, by the time it reaches the Outer Banks.

Arthur, which is 70 miles south-southeast of Cape Fear, is expected to turn to the northeast and accelerate.

“The official forecast shows the center of Arthur moving very close to the North Carolina Outer Banks late tonight and early Friday,” the Hurricane Center said.
